Williams Controls, Inc. ("Williams Controls") designs and manufactures control systems and sensors primarily for use in the transportation industry. It is the world’s leading manufacturer of electronic throttle controls for the heavy and medium-duty truck market. The company’s major customers include Freightliner, Navistar, Volvo Trucks, PACCAR, Mack Trucks, Caterpillar, and Hyundai. Williams Controls is headquartered in Portland, OR and employs more than 200 people worldwide at locations in North America, Europe, and Asia. AIP exited its interest in Williams Controls in 2005.
